PESHAWAR: The Defence Ministry was informed on Friday that 98 cases of missing persons are still pending in the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
According to details, Deputy Attorney General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sanaullah, submitted a report on missing persons cases to the Defence Ministry.
The report indicates that 226 cases of missing persons were resolved between February 1 and May 24.
This five-month report on missing persons cases highlights the Deputy Attorney General’s efforts to expedite the resolution of these cases.
It is worth mentioning that the Missing Person Commission disposed of 3,793 cases out of a total of 6,051 in 2019.
The Commission’s report stated that a total of 5,915 cases had been received by the Missing Person Commission of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) by the end of March that year.
In the previous month, 136 additional cases were received by the Missing Person Commission, bringing the total number of cases to 6,051.
