Earlier, on September 18, Accountability Court had directed Babar Awan and Pervez Ashraf to submit bail bonds worth Rs 0.2m each.
The reference had been filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over alleged delay in the project inflicting a whooping Rs. 27b loss to national exchequer.
Soon after the reference was filed, Babar Awan had resigned as Advisor to Prime Minister Imran Khan on parliamentary affairs.
In his resignation to PM Khan, Awan said that he has resigned from his position to prove the allegations against him as baseless.
Babar Awan had stated that the rule of law should begin from him, adding that he is not one of those who stick to their posts despite cases against them.
