Afghan Terrorists Among Three Khawarij Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations: ISPR, as Pakistan’s security forces continue to tighten the noose around Indian-sponsored militant networks operating from across the border.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), three terrorists linked to the Indian-backed outfit Fitna al-Khawarij were eliminated in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Among the dead was an Afghan national, further exposing cross-border involvement in Pakistan’s terrorism problem.
The development coincided with ISPR DG Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry’s statement that Pakistan’s security forces have conducted more than 62,000 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in 2025 alone. “So far, 1,667 Khawarij have been neutralised, including 128 Afghan nationals,” he said, underlining the scale of Afghanistan’s ongoing role in aiding terror activities against Pakistan.
In one of the latest encounters in North Waziristan, security forces detected the movement of a group of Khawarij attempting to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border near the Esham area. “The movement was tracked and swiftly engaged by security forces, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists,” the ISPR said.
The military’s ongoing counterterrorism operations highlight Pakistan’s determination to uproot remnants of the Fitna al-Khawarij, a network allegedly nurtured through Indian and Afghan intelligence cooperation. The statement reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in defending the country’s sovereignty and ensuring peace across the western borders.
