Ali Amin Gandapur Arrest Warrant Issued in Liquor and Arms Case

An Ali Amin Gandapur arrest warrant was issued on Wednesday by a District and Sessions Court in Islamabad in connection with the liquor and arms recovery case. The court directed law enforcement to present the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister before the bench on September 17.

Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti passed the order after neither Gandapur nor his legal team appeared for the scheduled hearing. The court categorically instructed authorities to arrest him and ensure his appearance at the next date.

Shortly after the order, Gandapur’s lawyer, Raja Zahoor-ul-Hassan, reached the courtroom. He requested the suspension of the arrest warrant against Ali Amin Gandapur, arguing that extensive media coverage of the case had already created serious consequences for his client.

The magistrate, however, dismissed the request. He ruled that the order would not be withdrawn unless Gandapur personally appeared before the court.

The case traces back to an FIR registered at Bhara Kahu police station in Islamabad. The liquor and arms recovery case has remained pending for several months. Earlier, on July 19, the District and Sessions Court had also issued an Ali Amin Gandapur arrest warrant, showing the court’s repeated insistence on his presence.

During the proceedings, Magistrate Chishti remarked that if even a junior lawyer or representative had sought a new date earlier, the court would have considered it. But since there was no representation at all, the issuance of the warrant became unavoidable.

The court has now set September 17, 2025, as the date for Gandapur’s mandatory appearance. Until then, law enforcement agencies have been instructed to enforce the arrest warrant for Ali Amin Gandapur without delay.
