LAHORE: Despite obtaining bail from the anti-terrorism court yesterday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Aliya Hamza and social media activist Sanam Javed have been arrested by the police in connection with another case registered in Mianwali.
This marks the 11th case against Sanam Javed, all linked to the May 9 riots. Sources indicate that the accused will be presented before an anti-terrorism court by the jail administration, with Mianwali police intending to request a transitory remand for both individuals.
Notably, just days prior, the anti-terrorism court had granted bail to Aliya Hamza and Sanam Javed in the Shadman attack case related to the May 9 riots.
Earlier, the same court had also approved bail for the PTI leaders in the Shadman police station attack case. During the proceedings, the prosecutor alleged their involvement in the May 9 incidents.”
