ATTOCK: Five people, including three women, were killed when a Rescue 1122 ambulance carrying a patient to hospital collided with an oil tanker in Attock early Saturday.
Rescue sources reported that three individuals, including a Rescue 1122 employee, sustained critical injuries in the collision, which occurred at the Hakla interchange. The ambulance was carrying a female patient suffering from paralysis when it collided with the tanker.
Earlier on Monday, a separate incident claimed the lives of five family members when their vehicle collided with a motorcycle in Farooqabad city near Pandour village, Sheikhupura. According to Rescue 1122, the accident was caused by speeding.
The family was traveling from Amar Sadhu to Gujjar Pura area of Lahore to visit relatives for Eidul Adha. Upon receiving the information, police and rescue officials promptly arrived at the scene, transporting the bodies and injured to the hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment.
