BALOCHISTAN: A new case of Congo virus has emerged in Loralai, Balochistan, bringing the total number of affected patients in the province to 22 this year. A 33-year-old man, Sarajuddin, was admitted to Fatima Jinnah Hospital with symptoms of bleeding from the nose and mouth.
After testing positive for Congo virus, he was transferred to the isolation ward at Fatima Jinnah Institute of Chest Diseases in Quetta for further treatment.
According to hospital sources, 22 patients have been treated for Congo virus this year, with five fatalities, 17 discharges, and one patient still receiving treatment. This comes after a patient infected with Congo virus passed away in Balochistan on August 16.
