Another patient dies of dengue, death toll rises to 43 in KP

169 more patients diagnosed with dengue fever in KP

PESHAWAR: An octogenarian died here due to dengue on Wednesday, raising the total death toll because of the mosquito borne disease to 43 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Dengue Response Unit of Health Department, the deceased, Mera Khan son of Ghulam Muhammad was of 80 years age.
He was admitted at Khyber Teaching hospital on September 30, last. The deceased was dweller of Noday Payan Arbab road Peshawar.
On Wednesday (October 4) around 1651 dengue tests were conducted out of which 312 were found positive to disease.
A total of 115 patients were admitted today in hospital for treatment raising the total number of dengue patients presently getting treatment in different hospitals to 340.
About 93 patients were discharged today from different hospitals after improvement in there conditions.
