In an unexpected twist during Bilawal Bhutto’s visit to Peshawar today, key members of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have announced their decision to cut ties with the party.
Former Federal Minister Arbab Alamgir and his wife Asma Alamgir have formally declared their departure, citing dissatisfaction with the party’s leadership and internal conflicts.
Asma Alamgir has also resigned from her role as the Central Deputy Information Secretary of the party. In an exclusive interview with Hum News, she expressed her discontent with the party’s performance and highlighted the growing discord among its members.
“The party is suffering due to incompetent leadership, and it is with a heavy heart that Arbab Alamgir and I have decided to part ways,” she said, emphasizing the internal strife within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa branch of the party.
She further elaborated on the longstanding issues she had raised with party leaders regarding the worsening situation. Despite informing them multiple times, she lamented that her concerns were not addressed.
“The party leaders have been informed about the situation many times, but unfortunately, no attention was paid to our grievances,” she said.
