Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir said on Wednesday, stressing that the nature of warfare has fundamentally changed and modern technology will play a decisive role in future conflicts.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that contemporary wars are increasingly driven by advanced technologies, making innovation, indigenous development and adaptability essential components of modern military strategy. He said the armed forces are actively integrating cutting-edge technologies to effectively address evolving security challenges.
The field marshal made these remarks during his visit to Bahawalpur Garrison, where he inaugurated the Rohi E-Skills Learning Hub and the Army Public School, Abbasiya Campus.
ISPR said the chief of defense forces was given a detailed briefing on operational, training and administrative matters, with special emphasis on preparedness for multi-domain warfare. He also observed Exercise Steadfast Resolve at Khairpur Tamewali, where troops demonstrated the operational use of drones, electronic warfare systems and modern command-and-control platforms.
Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the troops for their high morale, professionalism and combat readiness, reaffirming that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully capable of responding to future security challenges.
During the visit, he also inspected the EME Regional Workshop, where he was briefed on maintenance of modern platforms and combat support initiatives. Upon arrival at the garrison, the field marshal laid a floral wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and offered prayers for the fallen soldiers.
