RAWALPINDI: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in connection with the May 9 riots, which involved attacks on military installations.
The court ordered the police to present him before it on April 2. The warrants were issued in a case registered at City Police Station.
Earlier, the Peshawar High Court directed the federal government to provide details of cases against Gandapur, following a petition filed by him seeking information about the cases.
During the hearing, Justice Shakeel Ahmed and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim questioned the delay in providing the details and ordered the authorities to provide the necessary information to the petitioner.
