Asad Qaiser denies switching side, in contact with party chief
ISLAMABAD: Asad Qaiser, former speaker of the National Assembly Monday clarified that he had not left the PTI. He made it clear that he remained loyal to the party and was in contact with the PTI chief.
Talking to newsmen outside a local court after attending the hearing of a case against him, Asqad Qaiser stated, “I am with Tehreek-e-Insaf and in touch with the PTI chairman.”
Furthermore, Qaiser denied being in contact with Jahangir Tareen when questioned about it. Tareen, an influential politician from Lodhran, is currently busy forming a new political party primarily comprised of PTI defectors. Qaiser reiterated his position that he was still a member of the PTI when a reporter pressed him about Fawad Chaudhry’s claim of contacting the former speaker and other party leaders.
Meanwhile, the court extended his bail in judicial complex attack case till June 10.
