LAHORE: Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted post-arrest bail Sanam Javed, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist, in the case of arson and violence outside Zaman Park.
During the hearing on the Zaman Park arson case, Judge Arshad Javed delivered the verdict following arguments presented by the lawyers. Sanam Javed, identified in the Askari Tower attack case, was granted bail upon the submission of a Rs2,00,000 surety bond. The Race Course police station had registered the case against the PTI activist.
In a separate development, Sanam Javed’s contempt petition against IG Punjab is scheduled for a hearing in the Lahore High Court (LHC), with Justice Ali Baqir Najafi set to preside over the proceedings on December 04.
Sanam Javed Khan, a dedicated supporter of PTI, actively participates in the party’s political activities, passionately spreading its message and advocating for its policies. Previously, the ATC had ordered the release of Sanam Javed and others in the Jinnah House attack case. However, Punjab police re-arrested them shortly after their release from Kot Lakhpat Jail, alleging their involvement in the Askari Tower attack.
