This is the first time any former ISI chief has received such a sentence. The court martial, initiated under the Pakistan Army Act in August 2024, concluded after 15 months. According to ISPR, Faiz Hameed was granted full legal rights and may appeal the decision. Separate probes into his alleged political interference continue.
