Lahore: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has forecasted monsoon rains in most districts of the province starting today. In a statement, the PDMA spokesman mentioned that the monsoon rains are expected to continue across the province until Sunday. The spokesman also noted that while the current flow of water in the rivers of Punjab is normal, a medium to high flood warning has been issued for Marala on the Chenab River. The PDMA has instructed relevant agencies to remain alert and prepared for emergency situations.

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Kashmir (AJK) Police have successfully apprehended two of the 19 prisoners who escaped from District Jail Rawalakot four days ago. The escape occurred when 19 prisoners, including over seven death row inmates, fled the Rawalakot jail. One prisoner was killed during the escape.
