ISLAMABAD: Following the recent general elections held on February 8, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the updated party positions in the National Assembly, now including allocated reserved seats. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) emerges as the leading party with 107 seats in the assembly, comprising 84 general seats and 23 reserved seats, including nineteen for women and four for minorities. ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sher Afzal Marwat has filed a constitutional petition in the Supreme Court challenging the results of the general elections. In the petition, Marwat urges the court to invalidate the appointment of the chief election commissioner and other members. Additionally, he requests the court to void all Forms 47 from national and provincial assemblies, as well as the Election Commission of Pakistan’s investigation committee examining allegations of election rigging involving the Rawalpindi commissioner. DI Khan: At least four were injured in a blast in Drazanda area of Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, police said. According to police, the explosive device was placed in a motorbike that was parked outside a restaurant in the central market of the area.
