ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Saturday apprehended Fawad Chaudhry in connection with a corruption case. Prior to this, the NAB chairman had issued arrest warrants for Fawad Chaudhry in another corruption case. The warrants cited corruption and corrupt practices under section 9(a) of NAO 1999, leading to his immediate arrest. Following approval from a judicial magistrate, NAB conducted an interrogation of Fawad Chaudhry in the corruption case, subsequently re-arresting him from Adiala Jail. His Wife Hiba Chaudhry had announced that Fawad Chaudhry will contest the upcoming general elections and will participate in the elections.

ISLAMABAD: Providing much-needed relief to the public amid inflation concerns, the petrol price in Pakistan has seen a substantial reduction of Rs14 per litre, now priced at Rs267.34 for the upcoming two weeks.
