ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court Islamabad has disposed of the bail petition filed against former federal minister Asad Umar in the PTV and Parliament attack case. During the proceedings, the investigating officer, appearing before Additional Sessions Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar, declared the intention to withdraw the case against Asad Umar, emphasizing that his arrest was unnecessary. Following the police statement, Asad Umar’s legal representatives opted to withdraw the bail application. Subsequently, the court concluded the matter, disposing of Asad Umar’s bail appeal based on the investigating officer’s statement.
