KARACHI: Malaria has become rampant in Sindh province as more than 5,000 new cases were reported across the province in last 24-hours. The rapid spread of malaria has resulted in the identification of 5,185 new patients within a single day, pushing the total number of malaria cases in the province this year to 352,238. Over the past day, the breakdown of new cases is as follows: 2,243 cases in the Hyderabad division, 1,490 in Larkana, 949 in Mirpur Khas, 283 in Sukkur, 195 in Shaheed Benazirabad, and 25 in Karachi.
