ISLAMABAD: Italy’s trade surplus with Pakistan has seen a notable uptick in the first two months of the current financial year, as per data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). While Pakistan’s exports to Italy experienced a 0.88 percent decrease on an annual basis in July and August, imports from Italy witnessed a substantial 92 percent decline during the same period. HANGU: At least five worshippers were killed and 15 others were wounded when two suicide bombers attacked a masjid during Friday prayer in Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The masjid was inside Doaba Police Station. As per the District Police Officer, two suicide bombers targeted the masjid, initiating the attack by opening fire. Police successfully neutralized one suicide bomber at the mosque’s entrance through gunfire. Unfortunately, the other assailant managed to enter inside the masjid and detonated himself, where 30 to 40 worshippers were busy in Friday prayer. ZHOB: At least three terrorists associated with banned outlet Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan were killed and several others wounded in an infiltration bid thwarted by the armed forces in Zhob area of Balochistan, said a military statement on Friday. MOSCOW: Regional players are meeting today in Kazan City, Russia, for the fifth Moscow-format meeting to discuss the situation in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.
