ISLAMABAD: A private airline flight from Islamabad to Skardu narrowly avoided an accident. According to media reports, the plane encountered a technical problem immediately after take-off from Islamabad. The landing gear of flight PA-251 failed to retract after take-off. The captain promptly contacted Air Traffic Control (ATC), but due to an uncleared runway, the aircraft had to circle the Islamabad airspace twice before landing safely. A tragic collision between a dumper and a van occurred on the national highway near the Jhark area, resulting in five fatalities. Rescue teams and police promptly arrived at the scene upon receiving reports of the accident. Authorities have confirmed that the death toll from the collision has risen to five. Rescue officials reported that four people died instantly, while five others were injured. Sadly, one of the injured individuals succumbed to their injuries en route to the hospital.
