By: Ijaz Yousafzai In an unexpected turn of events, the bilateral trade relations between the US and India are most likely to receive a serious blow. This state of affairs is happening in the face of the fact that both New Delhi and Washington have once been intertwined with a common strategic inclination. In fact, both capitals have simply dreamed of common objectives, essentially aimed at countering powerful challengers like China and Russia. The United States, as a lame duck hegemon, has sought every possible option to preserve its current status in the world. Somehow, this Washington arrangements took a…

ISLAMABAD: On a day when the entire nation is observing Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir in solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has once again chosen to stage countrywide demonstrations. This PTI protest is being held to demand the release of party founder Imran Khan, who completed two years in jail on August 5. Critics say this has now become PTI’s pattern — to launch protests on every significant national day or when foreign dignitaries visit Pakistan — creating instability instead of unity. According to party insiders, the protest plan has been finalised. The…

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has hit back hard at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s baseless claim that Pakistani nationals are fighting for Russia in Ukraine. Officials say Zelensky has been misled — the fighters he calls “mercenaries” are in fact battle-hardened terrorists shipped from Afghanistan, not citizens of the countries he named. Sources confirm that Afghanistan has turned into the world’s biggest terror marketplace. The so-called “Kharjis” and guns-for-hire, many from the Islamic State Khorasan (IAG) and other extremist outfits, roam freely. These militants are armed with advanced American weapons abandoned during the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. Now, they are being recruited…
