ISLAMABAD: Assistant director Capital Development Authority (CDA) Ayaz Khan Mehsud has rejected reports about his kidnapping and said that he is in DI Khan.
In a video message, the CDA official said that he visited his relatives in DI Khan and could not inform his family about his stay in DI Khan as he had lost his cell phones. He said that his name should not be used for defaming country’s institutions.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police claimed that the police’s pro-activeness resulted in drop scene of Ayaz Khan’s disappearance case. According to reports, a spokesman of the IG Islamabad said that after receiving complaint, the IG directed concerned police station to registered an FIR and formed investigation team. He said that investigation team contacted the country’s agencies and wife of the CDA official.
Earlier, the Islamabad Police registered an FIR of disappearance of CID assistant director Ayaz Khan Mehsud. The Aabpara police station registered the FIR on the complaint of the brother in law of Ayaz Khan Mehsud.
Khan’s brother-in-law Hasan filed a complaint with Aabpara police station, saying that the official had gone to his office in Islamabad’s Sector G-6 yesterday and had not returned home. According to the application, Khan was in contact with his wife until 8pm and told her he will be home shortly.
After 8pm, however, the family lost contact with Khan as both of his numbers were switched off. When some family members went to his office in Sector G-6 to look for Khan, they could not find him there even though his car was parked in the building’s compound.
Khan’s brother-in-law has appealed to the police to help the family in finding the official.
