Pakistan’s cricket fans have reason to celebrate as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan deliver major gains in the newest ICC ODI rankings. Their standout performances in Pakistan’s dominant 3-0 series win over Sri Lanka have pushed both players upward, making Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan Rise in Latest ICC ODI Rankings a trending headline across sports news and cricket search trends.

Babar Azam climbed one spot to sixth with 722 rating points, reinforcing his status as one of the world’s most consistent ODI performers. Salman Ali Agha maintained his strong 16th position. Rizwan, meanwhile, made one of the biggest jumps of the week, rising five places to 22nd after an impressive run with the bat.

Opener Fakhar Zaman also enjoyed a ranking boost. He moved up five positions to 26th, earning 589 points and strengthening Pakistan’s top-order presence. However, not all Pakistani batters gained ground. Saim Ayub dropped three spots to 38th, while Imam ul Haq slipped seven places to 54th with 516 points.

The global ODI rankings saw major shifts at the top. Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma lost his number one position, with New Zealand star Daryl Mitchell taking over as the top-ranked ODI batter. Ibrahim Zadran of Afghanistan now stands third. India’s Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli round out the top five.

Pakistan also recorded major moves in the bowlers’ rankings. Spinner Abrar Ahmed surged 11 places to break into the top 10, now standing ninth with 624 points. Haris Rauf made a solid climb of five spots to 23rd with 562 points. Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi dropped to 21st, falling five positions, while pacer Naseem Shah slipped to 36th. Mohammad Wasim Jr made one of the biggest leaps of the update, jumping 20 places to 64th. Spinner Mohammad Nawaz slid down to 71st.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to dominate as the world’s number one ODI bowler, with England’s Jofra Archer ranked second and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj in third.
