Bahrain FM Praises Makkah Joint Defence Agreement

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received a phone call from Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on Monday night.

During the conversation, Al Zayani offered his congratulations to Dar over the recent signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, a trilateral pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. The Bahraini minister also shared his hope to travel to Pakistan sometime soon.

Dar Welcomes Bahrain’s Interest in Deepening Ties

Dar responded warmly to Al Zayani’s plan to visit Pakistan, thanking him for his goodwill and cordial remarks. The exchange reflected the continued warmth between the two countries as regional dynamics shift following the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.

The Pakistani foreign minister used the call to reaffirm Islamabad’s dedication to pursuing dialogue and diplomatic engagement as the primary tools for securing peace and stability, both within the region and further afield.

The conversation comes at a time when the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement has drawn attention across the Gulf and South Asia, with several countries, including Bahrain, signaling interest in strengthening bilateral coordination with Pakistan in its wake.
