Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has criticized National Assembly opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, accusing him of misleading the public by failing to identify the terrorist groups behind recent attacks.
Reacting to Achakzai’s remarks, the Balochistan Interior Minister said avoiding the names of terrorist organizations reflected fear. He pointed out that a terrorist organization had already claimed responsibility for the Saranan attack.

Ziaullah Langau alleged that Achakzai was deliberately avoiding the names of terrorist groups because of concerns about his personal safety. He described this reluctance as a form of fear that some political leaders had been unable to overcome.
The provincial minister also accused such leaders of hypocrisy, saying they were taking an easier political approach by putting the entire responsibility for terrorism on the government instead of identifying those responsible.
According to Langau, some political figures remain hesitant to openly name terrorist organizations because they fear for their lives. He said this approach prevents the public from receiving complete information about the security situation.
The Balochistan Interior Minister further argued that people in Balochistan were being kept away from the actual facts while blame continued to be directed entirely toward the government.
He said genuine leadership requires standing with the people, confronting difficult circumstances and communicating the truth. In his view, political leaders should guide the public based on facts rather than avoid sensitive issues.
Langau also criticized what he described as attempts to mislead the Pashtun population. He said presenting the people with an incorrect direction instead of explaining the facts and truth should not be considered support for the Pashtuns, but rather an act of hostility toward them.
The remarks come amid continuing political debate over responsibility for terrorist attacks in Balochistan and the need to clearly identify the groups involved.
