Security forces have successfully foiled a series of cowardly terrorist attacks carried out by Fitna-e-Hindustan across Balochistan, killing 99 militants during the past 48 hours, security sources said on Tuesday.
According to officials, terrorists attempted attacks at 12 different locations across the province late last night. However, timely and coordinated operations by security forces and law enforcement agencies neutralized all threats and prevented major loss of life.
Security sources confirmed that 58 terrorists were killed during recent operations, taking the total number of militants eliminated in the last two days to 99. Pursuit operations and aerial surveillance are still ongoing, and reports of further terrorist casualties and heavy losses have also been received.
During the counter-terrorism operations, 10 personnel from security forces and police embraced martyrdom while defending the people and the country.
In a separate incident, terrorists targeted a Baloch labourer family in Khuzdar, brutally killing five civilians, including a woman and three children. The incident once again exposed the inhuman and ruthless nature of the terrorists, security officials said.
Sources further claimed that Indian media and several social media platforms openly supported the terrorist narrative, highlighting what they described as a continued nexus between hostile propaganda outlets and militant groups.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for crushing the enemy’s designs and commended the professionalism and bravery of officers and soldiers. He said the fight against terrorism would continue until its complete elimination, adding that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in defending the homeland.
Federal Minister for Communications and President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Abdul Aleem Khan, also lauded the ongoing large-scale operation against terrorists in Balochistan.
In a message posted on social media platform X, he said that brave soldiers laid down their lives to protect the country, while law enforcement agencies confronted enemy elements with courage and foiled their malicious plans.
