ISLAMABAD – Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), has stated in clear terms that Balochistan separatism will never succeed. He stressed that the province is, and will always remain, a vital part of Pakistan.
He was speaking at the Hilal Talks event held for teachers. Over 1,950 senior faculty members from across the country attended. The DG ISPR used this platform to expose India’s deep involvement in creating unrest in Balochistan.
He openly accused India of supporting the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). He referred to the group as “Fitna-e-Hindustan.” He said the leadership of the BLA is currently based in India and revealed that Indian agencies fully finance its operations.
“They are nothing more than India’s paid agents,” he declared. Quoting BLA’s own statements, he said, “Fitna al-Khawarij is asking India for help.” He warned that such Indian-backed actors are not just a threat to Pakistan, but also to regional peace.
Lieutenant Gen Chaudhry firmly rejected the idea of Balochistan separatism, calling it a lost cause. He added that the province plays a crucial role in Pakistan’s development. “Balochistan is woven into the economic and social fabric of our nation,” he said. “One day, it will be Pakistan’s wealthiest region.”
He reminded everyone that the bond between the armed forces and the people is strong. “The military comes from the people, and the people come from the military. This love is eternal,” he added.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a grand Jirga in Quetta, also addressed separatist tendencies in Balochistan. He said it is time to bring back those misled by extremist ideologies.
“We must solve grievances as brothers,” the Prime Minister stated. He emphasized unity and warned that terrorists are enemies of Pakistan’s progress. He said their harmful plans must be defeated.
Referring to development, the PM called the Karachi-Quetta highway a “bloody road” and promised funds for its improvement. He announced that 25% of the next Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) budget would go to Balochistan.
He also said laptops will be distributed among students of the province. “We must bring back the misguided people into the national fold,” he concluded.
The clear message from both military and civilian leadership is that Balochistan separatism has no future. Unity, peace, and development are the only path forward.
