The Transport Department presented an extensive plan for introducing electric bikes into the market, collaborating with Honda and other companies. Additionally, the Bank of Punjab announced its commitment to making electric bikes accessible to 10,000 students with a minimal markup.
Minister of Planning and Development Bilal Afzal emphasized the need for a rational and cost-effective financing model. He proposed the initial distribution of e-bikes to eligible and high-achieving students through the banking system. The objective is to promote sustainable and eco-friendly transportation options within the student community.
