ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has issued a strong protest by summoning the representative of the Afghan embassy over the suicide attack on the security forces by an Afghan citizen in the Banu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa two days ago.
According to the spokesperson, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the representative of the Afghan Embassy in Islamabad and strongly condemned the suicide attack on the convoy of security forces by an Afghan citizen in Banu district on November 26.
The spokesman of the Foreign Office said that Hafiz Gul Bahadur’s group was responsible for the suicide attack on the convoy of security forces in Banu. Pakistan demanded from the Afghan representative for full investigation and action against the perpetrators/instigators of the Banu attack.
According to the statement, Pakistan stressed the need to take immediate verifiable actions against all terrorist groups and their sanctuaries and to arrest Hafiz Gul Bahadur, including stopping the use of Afghan soil for terrorism against Pakistan. He also demanded to be handed over.
