Pakistan’s security forces once again proved their unmatched courage during the Barkhan Operation in Balochistan, where seven India-backed terrorists were sent to their end while five brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom defending the homeland.
According to the military’s media wing, Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps personnel launched the Barkhan Operation in the Nosham area to clear terrorist hideouts linked to Fitna al-Hindustan. During the intense operation, troops located a group of heavily armed militants and engaged them in a fierce gun battle.
The terrorists, backed by hostile foreign elements, were eliminated after a tough exchange of fire. Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition and explosives from the militants, exposing their deadly plans against Pakistan’s peace and stability.
While fighting fearlessly on the front lines, Major Tauseef Ahmed Bhatti and four other soldiers embraced martyrdom. Their sacrifice has once again shown that Pakistan’s armed forces stand like a steel wall against terrorism and enemies trying to destabilise the country.
The martyrs included Major Tauseef Ahmed Bhatti from Pakpattan, Naik Fida Hussain from Sukkur, Sepoy Zakir Hussain from Skardu, Sepoy Suhail Ahmed from Khanewal and Sepoy Muhammad Ayaz from Rahim Yar Khan. These heroes laid down their lives while protecting innocent citizens and defending the nation with honour.
The Barkhan Operation continues as security forces remain determined to wipe out every terrorist hiding in the area. Pakistan’s military has made it clear that the campaign against foreign-sponsored terrorism will continue with full force under the national vision of Azm-e-Istehkam.
Terrorist groups operating against Pakistan have intensified attacks in recent years, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Despite repeated warnings, hostile elements continue using terrorism to target Pakistan’s peace. However, the bravery of the Pakistan Army continues to crush their evil designs.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the martyrs and praised the success of the Barkhan Operation.
The leaders said the sacrifices of Pakistan’s soldiers would never be forgotten and vowed that terrorists and their supporters would never succeed in weakening the country. They praised the courage, professionalism and patriotism shown by the security forces during the operation.
The nation stands proud of its martyrs whose blood continues to strengthen Pakistan’s defence against terrorism. Their sacrifices remain a powerful reminder that the Pakistan Army will continue defending every inch of the homeland against enemies of peace.
