The Indian Cricket Board head Jay Shah announced big prize money for the Indian team after their victory in the ICCT20 World Cup.
Indian cricket team defeated South Africa in the final of the ICCT20 World Cup played in Barbados on Saturday to become the world champion of the shortest format for the second time.
Chasing a target of 177 runs, South Africa managed to score 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and lost by 7 runs.
After winning the title BCCI announced the prize for the players.
In his statement released on the social media platform X, the chairman of the board, Jay Shah, announced a prize money of 125 crore Indian rupees, which is about 4 billion Pakistani rupees, for the Indian team.
Jai Shah congratulated all the players, coaches and support staff and said that the team had shown unparalleled ability, determination and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. The Indian Cricket Board rained down on the team after their victory in the ICCT20 World Cup.
