ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has denounced the assassination of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto as a grievous conspiracy against Pakistan’s sovereignty.
In a statement issued on the anniversary of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s death, Asif Zardari highlighted Bhutto’s role in elevating Pakistan’s stature globally. He condemned Bhutto’s judicial execution as a betrayal to the nation’s progress.
President Zardari emphasized that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s legacy continues through the mission shared by the late Benazir Bhutto and is now overseen by PPP’s chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
