The federal government has announced that prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged for the next 15 days.
According to an official notification issued by the Petroleum Division, there will be no increase or decrease in fuel prices, providing relief to consumers amid rising inflation.
As per the notification, the price of petrol has been maintained at Rs253.17 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) will continue to be sold at Rs257.08 per litre.
Officials stated that the decision was taken after carefully reviewing international crude oil prices and prevailing domestic economic conditions.
The Petroleum Division said that keeping fuel prices unchanged aims to reduce inflationary pressure and provide stability to the public.
Citizens have welcomed the government’s move, calling it a positive step. However, energy experts caution that fluctuations in global oil markets could impact future fuel prices, making close monitoring necessary.
