LAHORE: — Renowned Pakistani musician and singer Bilal Maqsood celebrated the marriage of his daughter Zahra on Sunday, 4 January, in a simple and private ceremony with close family and guests from her foreign in-laws.
The wedding took place in an intimate setting attended by Bilal Maqsood’s father, the celebrated scriptwriter and literary personality Anwar Maqsood, who was seen in a white kurta paired with a mint-green waistcoat alongside his grandchildren.
Bilal Maqsood addressed the media and public through Instagram regarding the viral wedding photographs, stating:
“With love and respect, we have noticed that some private photos from the ceremony have been shared on various pages. While guests shared them in good faith, we wish this celebration to remain private.”
He further requested that media outlets only repost the photos and videos that he shares personally on his social media accounts, thanking everyone for their cooperation.
During the ceremony, the bride Zahra wore traditional mint-green attire with simple jewelry, while the groom Arthur donned a white kurta with a butter-yellow waistcoat. Several well-known figures from the showbiz industry, including Adnan Siddiqui and Faisal Kapadia, were also in attendance.
The wedding images quickly circulated on social media, prompting a wave of congratulatory messages and best wishes from fans. Bilal Maqsood also shared a family photograph from the ceremony, showing himself with his children and father, captioned: “Our children with their grandfather on our daughter’s wedding day.”
Bilal Maqsood is widely recognised as the founding member of the popular band Strings, and is known for hit songs including “Mera Bichhda Yaar” and “Sajni.” Currently, he serves as a judge on Pakistan Idol. His father, Anwar Maqsood, is a celebrated TV personality renowned for his humor, literary contributions, and entertainment legacy.
