LAHORE: An Air Sial flight encountered a bird strike at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday while en route to Karachi.
Upon realizing the incident, the pilot promptly decided to return the aircraft safely to Lahore.
Airline officials reported that the plane sustained minor damage, but fortunately, no passengers were injured. All passengers were relocated to the lounge as aircraft engineers commenced an inspection of the plane.
The flight is anticipated to resume shortly after the necessary checks are completed.
Bird strikes have become a recurring issue at airports across Pakistan, prompting aviation authorities to implement measures to mitigate associated risks.
