Toba Tek Singh: A horrific incident of murder has surfaced in Toba Tek Singh, where a girl was tragically killed.
According to reports, the accused, the girl’s brother, placed a pillow over her face for three minutes, resulting in her suffocation.
Police investigations reveal that the girl was strangled to death in the Sadar Toba area, with a relative calmly recording the gruesome act. Shockingly, the girl’s father and another woman were present during the murder, passively witnessing the horrific scene. Following the murder, the victim, named Maria, was quietly buried.
Upon the circulation of the video, the police swiftly apprehended the accused. The incident reportedly occurred between the nights of March 17 and 18.
The District Police Officer (DPO) disclosed that the murder occurred in 277 JB, a village near Toba Tek Singh, where the accused discreetly buried Maria after committing the crime. During the post-mortem examination, evidence suggesting the presence of two additional individuals at the scene was discovered.
The motive behind the murder appears to be to conceal an illicit relationship, with the video being recorded after the girl’s demise.
Taking cognizance of the heinous act, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has ordered the immediate arrest of the perpetrator and has requested a detailed report from the Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police.
