CAIDS-2025 Successfully Concludes at Riphah International University Islamabad

CAIDS-2025 Successfully Concludes at Riphah International University Islamabad as the third International Conference on Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science came to an end at Riphah International University Islamabad on December 24, 2025. The conference focused on recent advancements in computing, artificial intelligence and data science, bringing together national and international experts, researchers, academicians, policymakers and industry professionals to exchange views on emerging technology trends. CAIDS-2025 Successfully Concludes at Riphah International University Islamabad after witnessing strong academic engagement and meaningful discussions aimed at shaping future research directions.

The inaugural session was graced by Vice Chancellor Riphah International University Professor Dr Anis Ahmad as chief guest. Prominent participants included Dr Najeeb Ullah Marwat, Member Science, Technology and ICT at the Planning Commission of Pakistan, and Dr Muhammad Israr, Secretary Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Speakers highlighted the growing importance of interdisciplinary research and innovation in strengthening Pakistan’s knowledge economy.

The conference emerged as a significant international academic platform for presenting research and innovative ideas. It was jointly organized by University of Science and Technology Bannu, Riphah International University Islamabad, University of Lakki Marwat, Gomal University, KUST Bannu Pakistan and Multimedia University Malaysia. The primary objective remained to promote collaboration between academia, industry and government institutions for practical and policy oriented research outcomes.

CAIDS-2025 received financial and technical support from the Pakistan Science Foundation under the research project Political Pulse, while cooperation with the Higher Education Commission Pakistan continues. Selected research papers will undergo an additional peer review process before publication in MMU Press journals of Malaysia, adding global visibility to the research presented.

The conference was held in a hybrid format, allowing both onsite and online participation, which enabled wide national and international representation. This format ensured inclusive academic engagement and facilitated participation from scholars who could not attend physically.

In his opening address, Professor Dr Anis Ahmad stressed the ethical use of artificial intelligence and emphasized aligning modern technology with Islamic and moral values. He underlined the need to prepare the younger generation to adopt advanced technologies responsibly to project a positive image of Pakistan at the global level.

Dean Faculty of Computing Professor Dr Muhammad Zubair shed light on the rapid growth of Pakistan’s IT sector, developments in software engineering and progress in artificial intelligence. He noted that conferences of this nature play a critical role in mentoring young researchers and aligning academic research with national priorities.

Secretary Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Muhammad Israr emphasized expanding higher education in remote areas of the province. He highlighted improvements in educational facilities and the expansion of digital infrastructure as key steps toward equitable access to quality education.

Eight universities from within Pakistan and abroad participated in the conference. Keynote speakers discussed educational development, sustainable development goals and the societal impact of artificial intelligence, focusing on its responsible integration into everyday life.

At the conclusion of the conference, a meeting was held at the office of the Vice Chancellor Riphah International University with vice chancellors and the Secretary Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The discussion centered on higher education infrastructure and academic facilities in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On this occasion, Professor Dr Anis Ahmad announced full support from Riphah International University for the promotion of education in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with special emphasis on advancing women’s education across the region.
