ISLAMABAD: The interim PM Anwar Ul Haq Kakar has appointed Maulana Tahir Ashrafi as a special assistant to the Prime minister. The principal secretariat has also notified that Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has been appointed as Special Representative to the Prime Minister.
Maulana will assist the prime minister in religious harmony for the Middle East and Islamic countries.
Maulana Ashrafi, who is also chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) and president of the Muttahida Ulema Board, is well-known for speaking out against social injustice and advocating for ending discord based on faith in the country.
It is pertinent to mention that Maulana has performed such duties in previous governments as well.
