CDF Asim Munir warns Afghan Taliban that peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan can only be achieved if the Taliban stop backing terrorist groups. During his visit to Wana in South Waziristan, the Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff reviewed security along the Western border and assessed operational readiness.
Officials said CDF Asim Munir warns Afghan Taliban about the use of Afghan soil by groups like Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan to carry out attacks against Pakistan. He emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and all necessary steps will be taken to neutralize cross-border threats.
During the visit, Field Marshal Munir received detailed briefings on ongoing intelligence-driven operations, border management measures, and the progress of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq. He also interacted with officers and troops in forward areas, praising their professionalism, vigilance, and high morale.
CDF Asim Munir warns Afghan Taliban while reaffirming that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs remain the backbone of national security. He paid tribute at the Shuhada Monument, offering Fateha and honoring those who gave their lives defending the country.
The Field Marshal expressed full confidence in the combat readiness, resilience, and coordination of all units deployed along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The visit highlighted Pakistan Army’s commitment to maintaining peace, safeguarding sovereignty, and addressing threats from across the border.
