ISLAMABAD: In a significant diplomatic meeting that took place in Islamabad, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zedong, engaged in a pivotal discussion with Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar. The primary focus of this meeting was to reinforce and highlight the enduring and robust friendship between the two nations.
During their meeting, Prime Minister Kakar conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese President and the leadership for the warm and gracious reception he had received during his recent visit to China.
In doing so, he expressed his unwavering commitment to taking substantial measures aimed at effectively implementing the various Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements that had been forged between Pakistan and China.
Prime Minister Kakar underscored the immense importance of these agreements, noting that they held the potential to usher in a new chapter in the context of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He went on to applaud China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), emphasizing its role as a catalyst for development and prosperity not just for the two nations involved but for the entire region.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Kakar took the opportunity to stress the deep-rooted and time-tested friendship that exists between China and Pakistan, likening it to a bond that is “higher than the towering mountains and deeper than the deep seas.” He was keen to highlight the tangible benefits that the people of both nations have been reaping as a result of their collaboration within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
In response to these sentiments, the Chinese Ambassador assured the Prime Minister of China’s unwavering and steadfast support, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to assisting in the advancement of Pakistan’s development and the maintenance of its economic stability.
