‘Churail’ Rumours in Peshawar Graveyard Solved After Missing Girl Found

Rumours about a mysterious “Churail” roaming a graveyard in Peshawar spread fear among residents over the past few days. However, authorities later confirmed that the figure was actually a 13-year-old missing girl, bringing the strange mystery to an end.

Residents living near Wazir Bagh reported seeing what they believed to be a ghost in a nearby graveyard. Locals claimed the figure resembled a “Pichal Peri,” a supernatural character often mentioned in regional folklore.

As the rumours grew, fear spread across the community. Some residents even armed themselves and began searching the area to find the mysterious figure.

The stories continued circulating for several days, particularly in areas around Guldera Chowk, creating anxiety and superstition among locals.

Eventually, residents managed to catch the figure moving in the graveyard. To their surprise, it turned out to be a young girl rather than a supernatural being. Fortunately, the girl was not harmed and was safely handed over to the police.

Police later clarified that the girl had been missing from her home for several days. Officials confirmed that she was mentally unstable, which explained why she was wandering around late at night.

Authorities have now reunited the girl with her parents. Police added that her presence in the graveyard at night frightened residents, leading many to believe that a “Churail” was roaming the area.

The incident highlights how rumours and superstition can quickly spread fear in communities, especially when unusual events occur late at night.
