PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur Friday removed Khalid Latif Marwat, brother of Sher Afzal Marwat, from the post of special assistant.
Khalid Latif previously held the position of Special Assistant to the CM on Science and Information Technology.
The announcement of Khalid Latif’s removal was made official through a statement released by the Chief Minister’s office. Prior to this decision, there were reports circulating regarding CM Gandapur’s dissatisfaction with Khalid Latif’s alleged interference in various departments.
It was even reported that CM Gandapur had raised concerns to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan during a meeting at Adiala Jail.
These developments come amidst internal differences within PTI, particularly following Khalid Latif Marwat’s inclusion in the KP cabinet.
