KARACHI: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi arrived in Karachi on Monday, where he was received at the airport by Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani.
Upon his arrival at Karachi airport, Saeed Ghani welcomed the KP chief minister by presenting him with a traditional Ajrak and Sindhi cap, symbolising Sindh’s cultural hospitality.
Meanwhile, severe traffic congestion was reported in areas surrounding the airport, with commuters facing prolonged delays. Party workers gathered outside the airport signal, attempting to make their way toward the terminal, further worsening the traffic situation.
According to sources, CM Sohail Afridi is scheduled to hold meetings with several political and social figures during his visit to Karachi. He has also announced plans to organise what he termed “the largest public gathering in Karachi’s history.”
Earlier, Sohail Afridi had visited Punjab, where the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) alleged that roads were deliberately blocked on the instructions of the Punjab chief minister during his visit.
Officials said the Karachi visit is part of Afridi’s broader political outreach and mobilizations strategy ahead of upcoming developments.
