Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir emphasized the crucial role of self-reliance and technological indigenization in fostering national progress during his visit to the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) in Wah.
This visit to the largest defense industrial complex in Pakistan provided the army chief with insights into POF’s production capabilities, its role in meeting the defense needs of the armed forces, and its potential for exports.
General Munir observed a diverse range of POF products, including newly designed and manufactured weapons and ammunition undergoing testing and trials.
In an address to officers and staff, the COAS commended their contributions to the country’s security and economy, acknowledging POF as the premier defense industry in Pakistan.
The path to national progress is paved by indigenous industries like POF Wah.
We remain committed to fostering self-reliance and adopting the latest technology, crucial for ensuring the reliability and fortification of Pakistan’s defense,” stated the army chief.
