ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated in Attock Jail on judicial remand in a cypher case, has been granted permission to meet with his legal team and doctors.
The Official Secrets Act Court, presided over by Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain, heard the plea filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan through his attorney, Naeem Panjotha.
PTI’s chief appealed to meet with Latif Khosa, Sameer Khosa, Salman Akram Raja, and Dr. Asim Yusuf through the attorney for whom he received permission.
It is pertinent to note that a special court had previously ordered Imran Khan to be jailed on judicial remand in a case related to the illegal possession and disclosure of secret diplomatic information during the last days of his premiership.
Additionally, the special court established to handle the cases filed against Imran Khan under the Official Secrets Act of 1923 had also allowed the former prime minister to communicate with his sons via telephone.
