A Lahore sessions court on Wednesday extended the interim bail of Aroob Jatoi, wife of popular YouTuber Ducky Bhai, until March 24 in a case related to the alleged promotion of online gambling.
During the hearing, Aroob Jatoi appeared before the court along with her legal team. The investigating officer requested permission to conduct a forensic examination of the accused’s mobile phone.
The court approved the request of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) officer and allowed the mobile forensic analysis.
Defence counsel argued that the forensic report could not be completed within one or two weeks and requested the court to fix a date after Ramazan. However, Judge Mansoor Qureshi adjourned the hearing until March 24.
The judge directed the accused to ensure her presence at the next hearing and warned that exemption from appearance would no longer be granted during interim bail.
An FIR has already been registered against Aroob Jatoi by the NCCIA in connection with the online gambling promotion case.
