A local court in Lahore has ordered the release of TikToker Nadeem Mubarak, also known as Nadeem Naniwala, who was arrested for using an illegal number plate on his vehicle. Police had detained Naniwala on Monday for displaying a fake number plate, “IK 804,” on his car.
On Thursday, the court ruled in favor of Naniwala, citing insufficient evidence to support the charges. The absence of a key recovery statement in the case record was noted as a critical factor in the decision. As a result, the court denied the police’s request for a 14-day judicial remand and ordered his release.
Naniwala was initially arrested by Defence C police during a routine check near Main Boulevard Defence, where his vehicle was found with a counterfeit number plate.
