ISLAMABAD: A local court on Friday summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in ‘Un-Islamic’ marriage case.
Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah heard the case and called Imran Khan to appear in court on December 18, specifically in relation to the marriage during Iddat.
Granting an exemption from one day’s attendance, the court has directed Bushra Bibi to submit a personal bond of Rs50,000 as security. Acknowledging the potential challenge of ensuring Imran Khan’s presence via video link from Adiala Jail, the court has instructed the jail superintendent to guarantee his attendance at the upcoming hearing.
Civil Judge Qudratullah emphasized that the concerned parties have been provided with copies of the complaint and other relevant documents. The next hearing for the marriage case is scheduled for December 18.
