The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh has exposed a major RAW network in Sindh, confirming its direct involvement in targeted killings. Officials disclosed on Saturday that the Indian intelligence group was behind the murder of a citizen in Matli, Badin, on May 18, 2025.
Additional IG CTD Sindh Azad Khan, along with the DIG, briefed journalists about the breakthrough. They confirmed that several suspects had been arrested, with solid evidence proving links to India’s agency RAW.
Investigators revealed that the mastermind of this plot was Sanjay Sanjeev Kumar, alias Fauji. He is believed to be an Indian agent currently hiding in a Gulf country. According to the CTD, Kumar arranged the entire plan and hired Salman, a man from Sheikhupura, to carry out the killing.
The RAW network in Sindh was reportedly financed through a clear funding trail. Arrested suspects were found with weapons, motorcycles, and mobile phones that were used during the crime. They had also conducted detailed surveillance in Matli before executing the attack.
Officials pointed out that this was not the first time RAW had targeted Pakistan. They recalled a 2018 case in Matli where another citizen was killed. That incident was immediately followed by Indian media propaganda. Such tactics, they added, reflect the broader pattern of RAW’s covert operations both in Pakistan and other countries.
During the briefing, CTD Sindh stressed that the RAW network in Sindh is part of a larger transnational plan. They said the agency has a history of spreading chaos through secret killings and intelligence-based activities across borders.
Azad Khan clarified that CTD’s responsibility is limited to investigation. He said the federal government will now handle the matter at a policy and diplomatic level. At the same time, prosecutors are preparing to present a strong case in court to ensure the culprits receive strict punishment.
He further disclosed that during interrogation, names of future targets were also discovered. “The people who were killed were simple citizens engaged in welfare activities,” Khan stated. “They had no link with any groups. This proves RAW’s deliberate campaign of targeting innocent Pakistanis through its agents.”
Through this revelation, the CTD has once again exposed the dangerous reach of the RAW network in Sindh. Officials say more action will follow to dismantle such covert networks and safeguard Pakistan’s citizens.
